Giving Hearts Day, February 13.
Many of you are aware of it. You see the signs, you know that non-profits are working hard with publicity and that it brings in funding to support their work.
We are no different. The event makes it possible for us to continue our mission and cover the many expenses involved in a nonprofit farm operation… but it is so much more than that.
As we see the donations coming in from people who love our work, who are wanting to show their support and help us grow, we are inspired. Seeing the love and trust from the community drives us to truly fulfill our mission and bring every opportunity that we can for people with disabilities in our community.
I was talking to a Giving Hearts Day donor last week. This was a donor that was not wealthy, but who believed in what we are doing. He said, “I love what you are doing. I wish I could do more.”
Overwhelmed with gratitude, I told him that gifts like his are the reason that we do what we do. Knowing that we have made a difference and that we have community support means everything.
Thank you to everyone who gave in Giving Hearts Day and to everyone who has supported us! We can’t even begin to put into words what it means to us.
